Fun facts about Bridesmaids!

Since we are on the subject of bridesmaid, I thought i'd let you in on some things you can expect the days leading up to you wedding.

Knowing the budget all the girls can spend is a good thing to keep in mind. The average cost for a bridesmaids dress is $147. Always be considerate of the price, money can be a touchy subject. Fights and bridesmaids can be common even with your "BFF". In order to be prepared, the number of fights you will probably have over shoes, dress and jewelry is 11. When picking out your bridesmaids dressing its hard to find something they can wear again unless its a cocktail dress. This not a shocker but only 2% of bridesmaids actually wear their dress again. For example 27 Dresses! Being out of the box is a good thing sometimes but 7 out 10  brides kept it traditional when picking their bridesmaid dresses.

Guide to the perfect bridesmaid dress!

The lovely subject of bridesmaids. Bridesmaids can easily turn to Maidzillas if you give them to much control, so always stand up for what you want. Still bridesmaids are an important part of the wedding and making sure they look good is key. Do not purposely try making them look bad, since they will be in your photographs for the rest of your life.

When shopping for your bridesmaids you don't have to bring the whole party as it will be a more complicated appointment. Instead bring 2, maybe the maid that has the most similar body type to the rest or the maid who is the most difficult to fit.If your a modern bride then opt for different maids dresses. But make sure they have similar styles and flow well together, but this can be a tricky task. You can make the maid of honor stand out by having a different color or dress style, but make sure it doesn't clash!  When trying to make a decision, ask their opinion but make the finial decision yourself. Once you have found their dresses, try and place all the orders at the same time to make sure the dresses will be made from the same dye lot.If not your dress colors might be a shade off. Make sure all your bridesmaids have the same shoes and cover ups. Always..always..always communicate with you bridesmaids!

Today I wanted to share with you some interesting FUN facts!

To start off, its always good to get a head count finalized before your big day. It can be a very touchy subject, hence it's why the average couple gets into 8.7 fights about the topic.  Keep in mind that 2% of invitees will RSVP "yes" and not show up, but you still have to pay for their plate.  Also 7% of invitees wont RSVP at all, while the other 15% will RSVP "no". .

The average number of guest is usually 141, but 3% of weddings have 300 plus guest attending. There are always more girls than boys.  The ratio is 2 to 1.
Everyone has those guest you haven't seen in years. Most brides typically have around 14.1 long time no see guest. An average of 41.8 guest are out-of-towners and need a place to stay.  Be sure to give a list of hotels in the area.

When you go to a wedding the polite thing to do is bring a gift. You will probably have 11% which may just forget.  Last but not least the "Wedding Crashers." Don't you just love them! Whether its your roommates boyfriend or the weird looking couple no one knows. Its funny, but about 3-7 crashers will arrive.

I hope you enjoyed Old Blue and New's fun facts

Princess Diana had the ultimate fairy tale wedding. Her gown made with silk taffeta , was designed by Elizabeth and Daniel Emmanuel. It was drenched in 10,000 pearls, lace, hand embroidery, huge puffed sleeves and the famous 25 foot train. This was Cinderella's dress brought to life....

Finding the Dress that's Right for You.

Most women struggle finding "The dress". While searching its important to remember your body type..Here's your guide to your perfect dress.

      Empire-waist gown

This silhouette screams elegance and sophistication. The skirt in this gown extends from the bustline, making it great for pair shaped brides because it hinds your hips. The dress shown here is more of a fitted version.

                        Trumpet Gown

This  Pnina Tornai gown is adorned in jewels. The style flares out at the hips, making the shape a trumpet without the extra bulk. This style is excellent if your hips are wider than your shoulders , creating a longer torso...

                Mermaid Gown

This is the perfect silhouette if you want to show off that figure you've worked on. This style is very fitted and flares at the knee. It is perfect for tall, thin brides. A Show stopper  gown for any occasion.

        Ball Gown

This style is the most popular especially for the fairy tale wedding. It has a fitted bodice and a dramatic full skirt usually with tulle.Busty brides should love this design because it creates                                                a balanced look.Ball Gowns are generally a universal style, and may be worn by any bride.

Some woman fall in love with the first dress; if that's the case I recommend trying on a couple more. You don't want to miss out on the experience! The dress is an important key element for your special day, hence make sure your dress is right for you....
